[2021] A research on the most vulnerable segments of the LGBT * community in St. Petersburg: poverty and access to humanitarian aid

At the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, we conducted a study of those LGBT * people who were previously or are now in a difficult life situation and their access to humanitarian services. The study involved those who did not have enough money for food and clothing, who did not or does not have a safe home now. Also, the study involved sex workers and drug users: those whose financial well-being is not always deplorable, but who are in the gray area.

Findings from the study can be used to develop social work strategies targeting LGBT * people. This publication will help organizations and civic activists to do their work more efficiently and help LGBT * people more accessibly.
