Report on the situation of the LGBT community in Saint Petersburg in 2018
This report is a result of the discrimination research conducted by the monitoring program of Coming Out LGBT initiative group in 2018. Based on the results of a sociological survey and cases documented by the program during the year, the report provides an analysis of the main problems and restrictions faced by LGBT people in St. Petersburg. In addition to analyzing the quantitative data collected as part of the survey, the report includes descriptions of specific cases of discrimination and violence motivated by homophobia and transphobia, as well as the analysis of the situation with the rights of LGBT people in St. Petersburg in terms of its compliance with Russian law and international human rights standards.
